We were the better team during the 90 minutes.
In a great afternoon of football, 2 teams played well with respect and with quality, playing both for win the game and get the 3 points.
We started a little bit sloppy and that cost us a goal with many confusion inside of the area with 5 minutes played. After that, we woke up and we started to play our game, finding the middle better with easy combination and then explore our 3 front forwards.
Naturally we scored the 1-1 , Dani was the scorer and we could score more 2 goals, one on one with the goalkeeper, one situation of Dani and another one of Jackson.
We finished the first half with great chances to go with a totally different result to the locker room.
Second Half we started again sleeping, and in 2 minutes we lost the game. “ situations where we failed individually and also as a team and they scored 2 goals in 2 minutes. After that we keep trying to score, with more rush, we changed and refreshed some players and also we changed the system for 4-2-4, trying forcing balls in their backs and in the 2 strikers.
We scored the 3-2 and we had 2 more opportunity, one per Lucas, alone in front of the goal he shot outside and another one with a great cross of Ismael and Alvaro could t finish in the perfect way.
We tried all the time in different ways, we fought, we played, we dominate the game but we couldt change the score until the end. Also we need to enforce, why the referee gave 2 minutes extra time, when both teams stopped the game for 4 or 5 subs, plus wasting times, injuries and etc, 2 minutes looked too strange and the team deserved a little bit more respect for all work and effort showed during the 90 minutes.
Was not a result that we wanted but was the performance that we expected, with good quality and consistency and we can see improvement of many players.
