What the week is about
A tryout is just an attempt until you step onto the field.
This is not a soccer camp, and it is not a one-day trial either. It is eight days living the routine of an academy in Spain: training every morning with our coaching staff, gym and physio in the afternoons, sessions with our nutritionist and sports psychologist, and a close look at how the game is played here.
Over the week the coaching staff gets to know each player. On Friday, every athlete sits down with the coaches for an honest, individual evaluation, and players who show the level receive an offer to join Futedu Academy, with a scholarship tier attached.
Everyone leaves with a clear picture of where they stand today and what comes next. Thanksgiving week is the one week most American players can be away from school without missing a beat. That is why we built this.

This schedule is illustrative. The official day-by-day calendar is shared with each athlete close to the tryout week through the Futedu app. Check-in (Tuesday, November 24) and check-out (Tuesday, December 1) are fixed — and yes, the Valencia CF match is happening: we will be at the stadium together.
Beyond our own pitch
Live a Spanish club from the inside
Part of the week happens away from our training ground: sessions with local Spanish clubs from our partner network in Valencia, inside their facilities, with their coaches and their players.
It is the closest thing to being signed: the same warm-ups, the same drills, the same speed of play that Spanish youth soccer is known for. Not watched from the stands. Lived from the inside.
Our staff is there too, watching how each player adapts. It is one more input into the evaluation, and for many players the moment the week becomes real.

Train with us
Every morning on the field with our UEFA-licensed coaches, inside the same sessions and methodology our academy players follow all season.

Get evaluated
Our technical staff observes every session: technical ability, tactical understanding, physical potential, attitude, and how far each player projects inside our methodology.

Receive your evaluation and offer
At the end of the program every athlete receives an individual written evaluation. Players who show the level also receive an offer to join Futedu Academy, with the scholarship tier the Head Coach assigns.
Scholarships are tiered and decided by the Head Coach, based only on what he sees during the week. Many players earn one. What we promise everyone is an honest evaluation.

- Personal expenses
Cancellation. Once booked, the tryout cannot be cancelled or refunded. If the athlete cannot travel on these dates, the fee can be moved to a future One-Week Tryout.

Everyone pays less.
Thanksgiving is better with your people, and so is a tryout. Book together in the same order and everyone gets the same discount: 10% off each athlete when two book together, 15% off each when three do. Nobody pays more than their friend.
Pick the number of athletes when you reserve and the discount applies to all of them on its own. Same week, same residence, same evaluation for everyone. One booking, one payment.

Please complete the details of every athlete before reserving.
After payment you will receive a confirmation email with a link to complete the athlete's profile: passport details, travel plans, companions, jersey size, dietary needs and highlight video. It takes about five minutes and can be done any time before the week.

Is this a camp or a real tryout?
A real tryout. The week is built around evaluation: our technical staff observes every session and delivers an individual assessment at the end of the program. Players who show the level receive an offer to join Futedu Academy. Everyone receives a clear evaluation and a development plan. Nobody leaves without an answer.
What exactly is "the offer"?
A place in one of our programs in Valencia (from one month to a full season, combining soccer with school or online studies), with a scholarship tier assigned by the Head Coach. Scholarships are partial and tiered; the level depends on what the staff sees during the week.
Where do players stay?
At the Galileo Galilei student residence on the UPV campus in Valencia, with full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and private security. Our staff is on site throughout the week, and players walk to training.
Can the athlete travel alone? Can parents come along?
Both. Many athletes travel alone; we pick them up at Valencia airport and our staff is with the group the whole week. Parents are welcome to come: they can share the athlete's room at the residence (extra cost, meals included) or stay at our partner hotel Resa Patacona a few minutes away, with a discount code from us.
Which airport do we fly into?
Valencia (VLC). Our transfer service is exclusive to Valencia airport, on check-in day (Tuesday, November 24) and check-out day (Tuesday, December 1). Most families connect through Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris or Amsterdam. If you land at another airport, such as Madrid or Barcelona, take the high-speed train to Valencia and we will pick the athlete up at the train station. Send us your itinerary and we arrange it.
What if we have to cancel?
Once booked, the tryout cannot be cancelled or refunded, but the fee can be transferred to a future One-Week Tryout on dates that suit you. We'd rather move the week than lose the athlete.
